little happy lists: three
I said I was going to make these lists every week to help myself focus on happy things, but then of course I got caught up in life and then in pouring all of my online energy into The Attic... but I'm back. I miss having my personal space, and I'm all about focusing on the happy these days.
So the little things that have made me happy this week:
This probably sounds twisted, but I kind of love deadlines. They force you to get things done, and then you're free. A turned in his MA thesis on Monday, and I turned in my last coursework essay, and I'm over the moon about both. It feels like so much weight has been lifted over both of us.
- date nights
A and I just celebrated our two year anniversary earlier in the week and we've been out on two separate date nights this week and I feel warm and fuzzy about it all.
- unread books by favorite authors
I have time to read for fun over the next couple of weeks, and I realized I have an entire unread Donna Tartt book left to discover! I've had The Little Friend sitting on my shelf for the past three years, and I'm excited to read it this week.
- patterned tiles
Our favorite coffee shop is in the middle of renovations, and they've just revealed an entire section covered in tile floors, and they just make me so happy? I love seeing design elements out and about that I enjoy but wouldn't use in my own home.
- travel guides
A and I have just booked our first holiday together with my mom and grandma, and we're having so much fun looking into all the things we want to do!
