little happy lists: two
This week's been quite the long one with quite a few little blue spirals, so I think it's time to make another list of little things that have made me happy over the last few days:
his week's been all about friends, centering on Galentine's Day, and it's all reminded me, once again, how well-surrounded I am by wonderful ladies. I love you all. 💕 You've made my life richer and more supportive, and I am lucky to know each and every one of you.
A spent most of this week in England and made me even more grateful for how easy it is to keep in touch these days. I remember the days before easy internet and the summers I'd spend in Europe, going weeks without being able to check my email and write to friends. How times have changed, and thank goodness they have.
- revisiting childhood favorites
For Galentine's Day, one of the ladies in the Coven sent out copies of Frances Hodgson Burnett's A Little Princess for us all to read. I started my reread almost immediately, not having revisited the story for about seventeen years. It was such a pleasure and brought back quite the pure reading experience. I'd forgotten so many plot points, and experiencing the story anew felt a lot like reading did as a child. It was glorious.
For the past few months, I've been toying with the idea of moving to the countryside and raising goats. With the world being what it is, the fantasy of it appeals to me more and more. Naturally, this isn't something that's feasible anytime soon, so to tide me over, A brought me a little goat plushie back from England. It's adorable and will no doubt be much easier to raise than the real thing. 🙈
